Today Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar have discussed a list of issues during a meeting of the Indo-Russian Inter Governmental Commission on Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGCMTC) in Delhi.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said that now India faced the most important security challenge, it was the cross-border terrorism. He marked that Russia carried out constant support in India’s efforts to eliminate the «menace».

In turn, Sergei Shoigu said: «I think today is a good opportunity to summarize the past year and identify the challenges for the next year. We are ready to discuss the most pressing issues, problems and prospects of our military and military-technical cooperation. Additional tasks assigned during the meeting of the leaders of Russia and India on October 15-16 suggest that we need to expand our sphere of military-technical cooperation».
