Obama’s letters leaked in the Internet
The first part of the letters, published by Wikileaks, refers to 2008, when the US President was only preparing to take office. The most of the emails were sent just on the day when it became aware of Obama's victory.
The most interesting letters are those where John Podesta, the current head of the electoral headquarters of Clinton, who worked with Obama at that time, explained his (Obama’s) need to distance himself from the previous US president George Bush.
In particular, Obama’s counsellors recommended him not to go to the G20 Hangzhou summit in the Bush companies. «On the chance that President Bush would raise this with you tonight, I wanted you to be aware that it is the unanimous recommendation for your advisors that you NOT attend», -said in a letter. Podesta also added about the G20 that it would «afford you (Obama) an early and efficient opportunity to evaluate the positions of leaders from other economically important countries».
