Tetrahydrocannabinol - contained in cannabis psychoactive substance was found in the tap water ib American town Hugo (Colorado). City authorities declared about psychoactive water on Thursday, July 21st. After that, residents of Hugo were distributed with bottled water and recommended to refrain from drinking tap water and do not use it for cooking. At the same time, the Department of Health and Environment of Colorado said that the water is suitable for bathing, washing, brushing teeth, and washing dishes, washing and watering the garden.

Now the authorities are awaiting the outcome of the new test, which should show the concentration of the substance and determine whether it is a health hazard.

Experts do not exclude that the drug substance has got into the water intentionally. For example, in one of the five wells traces of tampering were found. In Hugo cultivation of marijuana, as well as its sale and use are prohibited. In the state of Colorado, it is legal.
