Mohammad Javad Larijani, a secretary of High Council for Human rights declared that the recent EU strategy resolution on Iran had a lot of shortcomings and controversial moments.
Earlier Iran has welcomed the attempts of normalization of EU-Iran relations, but it has recently announced that the country will not authorize the European Union to open an office in Tehran.

Mohammad Larijani stressed: «Such an office will be a house of corruption, and the Judiciary will not allow such a thing».

He noted that the adoption of this resolution at the official level, without consulting with the Iranian side showed the real reluctance to build a relationship based on dialogue.

Larijani also added: «The European Union is not entitled to tell us we have to mend ourselves».
