Initiator of impeachment was arrested

Eduardo Cunha, the former chairman of the lower house of parliament, who initiated impeachment elected president Dilma Rousseff, arrested in Brazil.

During the impeachment, he has already been charged on corruption. But at the same time the Court could not deprive Cunha of the parliamentary mandate and, with it, the immunity.

In addition to it, Cunha was considered as the closest assistant, and even a friend of Temer, who in fact he brought to power. This arrest can not be regarded as an accident. Despite the fact that politicians and the public greeted the news with understanding (and in some cases, it can be said with glee), the arrest was clearly sanctioned by the highest levels of government, perhaps by Washington.
