Pro-Russian servicemen hold NATO posts

The arriving Turkish officers to NATO headquarters in Europe are reported to be appointed to senior positions in the wake of the recent dismissal of the military command of Turkey's 150 troops. Most of them have pro-Russian, pro-Chinese and pro-Iranian views. Moreover, the vast majority of newly appointed officers “calls radically the value of the alliance into question and even hates some Western organizations, focusing on Russia, China and Iran”.

This week Ankara has withdrawn 150 servicemen occupying high positions in the NATO structure, which caused serious resentment of the alliance leadership. The alliance expressed the view that the dismissal of US college graduates would lead to the weakening of NATO, “losing of experience and knowledge”.
