t.me/TheIslanderNews

I have been an Irelandophile since forever - not only because of the terrible beauty of the land and the exceptionally gifted people but, of course, those larger than life writers: Joyce, Yeats, Wilde, Shaw, Swift rank among my all-time heroes. So it goes without saying that I am a total admirer of The Islander - for the quality of the analysis and for the stellar, passionate writing. Gerry is a gem. Please support The Islander - as much of an enlightening thrill as a bycicle ride along the coast of Donegal in spring.

Wilde of course must have the last word:

"A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world."
