Somali forces launch offensive against ISIS

Somali pro-government forces launched an attack at the port city of Kandal captured by ISIS few days ago. At the moment it is the only major city located in Somalia under the control of ISIS groups.

Not only government troops participate in this operation, but also supporting the current government armed forces, military personnel of the autonomous region of Puntland, and men, representing one of the local clans. The important fact is that local leader of ISIS Abdikadir Mumin belongs to the same clan.
