Norway spends half million euros on Anders Breivik a year

Skien prison inmate terrorist Anders Breivik responsible for the bombing in Oslo and massacre on the island of Utøya in 2011, costs Norway's budget 550 thousand euros per year. This was stated by the representative of the prosecution Fredrik Sejersted.

According to the prosecutor, the treasury annually allocates 5 million Norwegian kroner (550 million euros) mainly on providing Breivik with security . Moreover, additional money is spent on assessment of prisoners and trials, which initiates his defense.

Yesterday, In Norway, a Court meeting, was held,  the purpose of meeting was to consider the of Appeal of the  Anders Behring Breivik about inhumane conditions of his detention in prison. Breivik was convicted five years ago.

Breivik entered the courtroom dressed in a black suit with a black tie, and has greeted the assembled with the infamous  Nazi gesture.

According to Breivik the State violated his rights in terms of isolation and lack of communication with other people.
In August 2012, Breivik was sentenced to 21 years in prison for the murder of eight people in Oslo and 69 at a summer youth camp on the island of Utøya, committed in 2011.
