Al-Nusra: "US directly gives us missiles"
The terrorist organization Jebat Al-Nusra receives TOW anti-tank missiles directly from the United States. This was reported by the German journal “Focus” quoting one of the leaders of the terrorist group.
“They give us missiles directly. The Americans are on our side,” the commander said in an interview, also noting that cooperation with Washington is not working out “as al-Nusra would like.”
Focus notes that this interview was held 10 days ago. The German publication’s source from al-Nusra apparently stated then that the UN convoy that was later attacked from the air was not going to be allowed into Aleppo if Syrian troops did not retreat.
The Al-Nusra commander also emphasized that the militants are not ready to compromise, but will fight “until the regime falls.” The leader called their objective “the establishment of an Islamic state under Islamic Sharia law,” and remarked that the grouping “does not accept the laws of a secular state.”
Earlier on Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow cannot fully trust the US-led international coalition. According to him, Washington is not taking any actions against Jebat Al-Nusra even though Secretary of State John Kerry has publicly affirmed their intent to fight against this grouping in Syria.
