Propaganda Meetings Held by MEK to Stash Their Terrorist Face
The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) is a paramilitary organization that began its activities in Iran in 1966. After the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, this organization claimed falsely that the Islamic Revolution of Iran took place for the efforts of this group. The People's Mujahedin of Iran did not come to power in this government, so they began waging conflicts against the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1981.
The PMOI carries out many terrorist acts against the Islamic Republic. It carries out large and small terrorist operations. In total, more than 17,000 Iranians were killed by the PMOI in its war against Iran. The most important of the PMOI's attacks was the bombing of the Prime Minister's office and the office of the Islamic Republic party. President Mohammad Ali Radjaie, Prime Minister Mohammad Bahonar, and the head of the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran were martyred in these two attacks. The PMOI fled from Iran to Iraq, and with the support of Saddam Hussein, the dictator of Iraq, took up arms against his own country and took part in two operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
After the ceasefire between Iran and Iraq, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), backed by Saddam Hussein's equipment, attacked Iran to conquer Tehran in a few days. On arrival in Iran, this group committed heinous acts such as setting people on fire, burning them, and hanging them. This organization now sees itself as the human rights claimant and the alternative to the Islamic Republic of Iran and tries with all its might and by all means to attack Iran.
At the end of Saddam Hussein's reign over Iraq, after some 25 years of presence in Iraq, with the financial support of certain Arab countries and the direct support of the Americans, the PMOI was expelled from Iraq and settled in Albania.
The People's Mujahideen Organization, being present in Europe, changed its behavior in appearance. It took the stance of civil opposition and began to take action against the people of Islamic Iran. One of these acts is the holding of annual meetings. The so-called political meetings of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran have been held for many years in France and Albania. In these meetings, the People's Mojahedin Organization usually aims the media targets to change its approach from a terrorist face to a democratic face of opposition or an alternative for the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, they were unable to achieve this objective during these meetings. Because the speakers and participants in these meetings are former political figures and retired people who have no power in their countries.
Indeed, it is also worth pointing out that MEK knows the estimation of the Intelligence Services supporting the MEK repetitively informs them about the hated position of this group among the Iranian people and by raising questions such as the alternative of the Iranian regime and overthrowing it, they try to hide this matter among the western people. After all, this group with all its factors, capabilities, and facilities is part of the opposition of the Islamic Republic, and the enemy countries are also obliged to strengthen groups like the People's Mojahedin of Iran if they hope to cause trouble for Iran.
Although there is no depth to the People's Mujahedin and their meeting in Paris or any other cities. The scale of this movement is no more than the Villepinte conference room and a few hours of media publicity before and after these meetings, but a look at this meeting may explain the hidden identity of this fake propaganda. A look at other media activities and the supporters of this group shows that all the participants in this group's gatherings, even if they are well-known politicians, have one thing in common; They have now retired from the world of politics and power, and there is almost no hope of them returning to the political arena and power.
That is why they coordinate so closely with the Iranian People's Mujahedin. John Bolton, Gingrich, Lopez, Turki Faisal, etc., all have no place in their countries' political systems. For them, attending the MEK meeting is more of a commercial and professional interest. The list of amounts paid by the People's Mojahedin of Iran to these political retirees, which sometimes shows 80 thousand dollars for a two-minute speech, confirms that these kinds of events are just part of a big fake propaganda designed by a terrorist group. Remarkably, the texts of the speeches are also prepared by members of the PMOI. In other words, speakers at People's Mojahedin meetings are booked for one hour. The treatment of Rudy Giuliani, one of the speakers at the PMOI meeting in Villepinte, is an example of the fact that these people, before attending People's Mojahedin meetings, no longer see themselves as politicians within the power structure, that is why they attended to such an event to gain more money.
In the end, it has to be said that closing PMOI meetings requires great willpower, of which Western governments, including France, can be one of the main pillars provided that instead of political objectives, they should take up the real fight against terrorism. Albania also should take firm actions against MEK/PMOI to limit this terrorist group more and Albanian people should be informed that keeping this group in Albania has no benefit and is dangerous. The presence of MEK in Albania recently caused massive cyber-attacks on different organizations in this country and this should apprise the Albanian government of the high prices that Albanians pay to keep a terrorist group on its soil.
