In the new global geopolitical formatting, Russia – as the Heartland according to classical geopolitics – continues to play the central role in writing the new multipolar routes. The new international cooperation in the Eurasian key is confronted with the strategic positioning of Turkey, where the key turning point is, again, the question of effective opposition to the U.S. strategy in the region.
In the transition to a multipolar world, a number of questions arise on the level of theory, among which one of the main ones arises: does the triumph of multipolarism put an end to classical geopolitics, or not?
Geopolitics is a discipline born in Europe in the early 1900s and its fathers have developed theories. The African's goal in the 21st century must be to study, revise these theories and propose his own vision in a world dominated by ideologies.
The first and most important statement is that Russia is an independent, original civilization. This statement is the axis around which there should be constructed any (absolutely everything, and not just Eurasian) conservative thought. What does it give us? First, we understand that the world is not global, not united, not homogeneous. The world consists of many civilizations, each of which is not reducible to each other. That is, Chinese, Indian, European, American, Russian – all these civilizations are equal.
The various problems and processes taking place in the world make it clear that the world is in two main positions, and the rest follow and imitate one of the two sides.
