Great success for Identitas Faith and Science

The Conference Identitas Faith and Science – created and organized by the Friulan philosopher Emanuele Franz under the patronage of the Municipality of Udine and the Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia - was held last Tuesday, March 31st at 4:00 pm in worldwide video conference.

The event, still available on the Youtube Channel – Identitas Clara – involves personalities among the most eminent in the world: a total of twenty speeches, from the Dalai Lama to Noam Chomsky, Branduardi, Messner, Veneziani, De Benoist, Odifreddi, Mancuso, Zichichi, Sgarbi and more, including monks, ministers, scientists, alpinists and musicians all united by a reflection on the deep meaning of the relationship between Faith and Science. Various contributions, from as many as six nationalities, which Franz wanted to put together in one event.

“I went and interviewed Chomsky in America and a Tibetan monk in Nepal, which fact was noticed by the Dalai Lama, who wrote me a letter with His report for the conference. I overcame oceans and crossed mountains with a single purpose in my heart: inviting the whole mankind to the eternal questions about life, especially in the crisis we are living nowadays” - told Emanuele Franz.

The event on Youtube Channel Identitas Clara and on the play list of Audax Publishing channel has met almost 10.000 views so far, evidence that the event has been much followed and agreed. The rich and fruitful panel brought to light deep reflections: Odifreddi, Mancuso, Chomsky and other scientists, albeit with due differences, agree that the sense of mistery will always be joined to science and that, beyond any level of rationality, a more intimate and ineffable dimention occurs.
