In the village of Jamilia in Homs province, representatives of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Sides carried out a humanitarian aid action.

The “Aid to Syria from Russia” humanitarian column continues to provide those in need with needed food packets.

Local residents met the convoy of Russian aid with enthusiasm. The event was even attended by Syrian television representatives.

Children prepared a special performance to greet the action.

The officers engaged in the organization of humanitarian aid immediately found themselves surrounded by children from the village. The unloading and distribution process was met with joy and delight from the children, who did not want to let the Russian officers leave.

Over the course of the day, food kits were provided to 400 people.

In addition to humanitarian aid, the residents of Jamilia received expert medical consulations and aid. A large queue of civilians formed near the reception where the medical center was set up.

Over the course of the civil war in Syria, many people have been afflicted by various diseases, ranging from vascular diseases to heart pain from anxiety and psychological trauma. Many children are suffering from tonsillitis. Medical professionals examined, proscribed, and distributed much-needed medication to patients.

Despite all of the foreign press’ attempts to discredit Russia’s humanitarian mission in Syria, Moscow continues to provide needed aid to Syrian civilians and continues to be one of the main participants supporting the population and taking active part in organizing such efforts.
