Russian Defence Ministry: Strikes on the positions of al-Assad in Syria are a threat to Russian military

Any strikes on Syrian territory that are controlled by the government of the Arab Republic Army, are a threat to Russian military.

This was announced during a briefing on October 6th by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov.

In addition, Konashenkov stated to the "overseas colleagues", reminding them that the air cover of the Russian military bases in Tartus Hmeymime are carried out by means of S-400 and S-300.

"This may be a surprise to any unidentified flying object", - said the representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Russia is pursuing a military operation in Syria since September 30, 2015 after the request of the President of the Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad.
