Putin instructed to draft a new weapons program

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on the basic parameters of the state program of armaments in the years 2018-2025. The head of state instructed the members of the government to draft a new armament program by July 2017.

"In preparing the financial parameters necessary to proceed from the fact that the Armed Forces and other troops should be provided with modern weapons and equipment at a level which will effectively and completely solve the problem for reliable protection of Russia from potential military threats," - Vladimir Putin said at the meeting.
