President of Armenia pays visit to UAE

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan pays a visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he is planning to meet with some representatives of the authorities: Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the vice president and prime minister of the UAE and Emir of Dubai, ruler of the Sharjah emirate Sheikh Sultan III bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, as well as deputy prime minister Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He will also meet with the heads of investment companies and organizations of the United Arab Emirates.

During his visit, President Sargsyan will visit the Armenian Church and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which should be probably considered as a symbol of Armenia's readiness to become a «bridge» between the Islamic and Christian world, following the example of Russia and Kazakhstan.

Most likely, the visit is connected with changes on the oil market. Armenia, apparently, wants to strengthen its position in the Islamic world, especially in the Middle East (in the background of the refusal of Egypt to buy Saudi Arabia's oil).

Several agreements are planning to be signed during the visit.
