NATO established the first chief of intelligence

The new post was established in connection with the desire of NATO for sharing the intelligence data with the EU countries in order to the coordination of the fight against ISIS, as the US saying. The real purpose of obtaining the European intelligence data may be different. Especially taking into the consideration the fact that the CIA has been long spying on the European leaders and politicians. Local security forces have repeatedly proved this information.

Moreover, as sources reported, Washington insisted on taking this strategically important post by US citizen.

However,  a former vice president of Germany's BND intelligence service, Arndt Freytag von Loringhoven has become the head of the NATO intelligence.
