Mikhail Sheremet thanked Kiev for food blockade

The First Vice-Premier of the Crimean government, Mikhail Sheremet, said that year-long blockade of food from Ukraine had greatly stimulated the development of agriculture in the peninsula.

These words come as the terrorist organization, "the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people" and representatives of [US backed]volunteer battalions, organized a march on the border with Crimea, dedicated to the anniversary of the food blockade.

"I am grateful to them for this blockade, because we were able to quickly reorient our businesses towards the Russian mainland, more than that, we started to develop our agriculture, our production, which has developed several times due to the fact that they made the so-called blockade" said Sheremet in public comments to RIA Novosti .

According to him, the organizers of the blockade accomplished only one thing - to kill agriculture in the Kherson region, which has traditionally supplied fruits and vegetables to Crimean markets.

"Today, we grow beautiful gardens, we gather record harvests. We had to move away from these areas of agriculture, such as rice, corn, which consumed a lot of water, but in other crops we produce record harvests," - said Sheremet.

First Deputy Prime Minister said that it was difficult to comment on the recent march on the border with the Crimea, whose members "are viewed as retrogrades."

"I'm just sorry that people are retrogrades. These are deranged people, we regretfully can not treat them with understanding, because I'm not a doctor. They are happy, satisfied in their own fantasy land. I think I can help them only to find a psychiatric clinic. Their fantasy is made of dirty tricks - this degraded stunt, their recent act ", emphasized the first Vice-Premier.
