Afghanistan and the CIS develop infrastructure projects

In the nearest future, the railway network will be opened, connecting Afghanistan with China and Europe through Central Asia. The new railway will pass through Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

Moreover, last month the construction of a railway connecting Afghanistan and Iran was launched in Herat, where according to a recently signed agreement, Afghanistan will have access to the Iranian port of Chabahar, being built in cooperation with India.
