Cult of Baal and 3D Masonry

20.04.2016

At the end of last year, a number of Western media outlets reported that replicas of the 50-foot arch that stood near the temple of Baal (Bel) in Syria's Palmyra, destroyed by terrorists from ISIS in August 2015, will be built in New York and London in April this year.

But then the organizers changed their minds because of the outraged public, especially Christians of different denominations. As a result, in New York the opening of the arch was abolished, and on April 19th in London a copy of the Arc de Triumph was established, which was also destroyed by ISIS.

The organizer of the project is the Institute for Digital Archaeology (IDA), which is a joint venture enterprise of Harvard University, Oxford University, and Dubai’s Museum of the Future. The construction of the arches was linked with the UNESCO World Heritage Week in April, and presented by the organization "as a gesture of defiance," but in the end, the organizers plan to share this "cultural treasure" with other cities across the planet, as far as possible.

The idea behind the installation was “simply by placing a thought-provoking piece of art in one of those spaces, the level of heightened risk is very limited. This is something we are thinking about very carefully and that people involved are thinking about on a day-to-day basis.

American lawyer/archaeologist Roger Michel, who is director of the IDA, said that 3D printing technology was used for this project. “My intention,” declares Michel, “is to show the Islamic State that anything they can blow up we can rebuild exactly as it was before, and rebuild it again and again. We will use technology to disempower ISIS.

At the same time, the Institute hopes to eventually put a thousand of such arches in other cities across the globe...

This is several times larger than the existing states in the world, and it is obvious that many of the countries are strongly opposed to the erected simulacra of a bloody deity.

Of course, for many years the temple of Baal is an architectural relic, available to simple tourists and researchers. But why, of tens, if not hundreds of objects destroyed by terrorists, was the temple of Baal chosen?

Amazingly, when terrorists from ISIS used bulldozer to destroy the working monastery in the province of Homs, which was 500 years of history, it did not spur enthusiasm for its recovery, even in the form of a single copy somewhere in an industrialized country, where the revered freedom of speech and democracy resides.

Also, very few people at Harvard and Oxford (the two Anglo-Saxon centers, known for its propensity to occultism) are concerned about the restoration of the lost unity of Christians and the Muslims of Syria, who lived together for centuries. Here, simulacra, and even the pagan era, are another matter.

US Christians were familiar with Baal rituals years before this project, because of the American way of living.

The National Center for Family-Integrated Churches noted:

What was Baal worship and why was it so popular? It is a mistake to think of Baal worship as some kind of other worldly practice that never happens today. On the contrary, it happens all the time in the form of cultural variations of the same general patterns that we see in 2 Kings 21:1-9 and 2 Kings 17:7-23.

We know that there were usually lots of people gathered, often on a high hill (like a theatre or stadium) to observe public sex, just like we see in movies and television and on the Internet (Numbers 22:41, I Kings 12:25-33). We think that watching these things is different than the idolatry of old, but this is not so.

The whole community came out and all of the best pagan ideas for success in crops and fertility were promoted, just like a business seminar that promotes unbiblical ideas that justify the worldliness of its origin.

The wicked personalities (promoters and performers) were respected and given a platform (like rock stars and Hollywood “People”). Some of them were great dancers (like Brittany Spears and Madonna) while others were great musicians (like Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney) (I Kings 15:12-14). In our day, people who go to our churches celebrate celebrities when they should be doing the opposite. Psalm 101:1, 3 says, “I will walk in my house… I will set no wicked thing before my eyes…”

People danced around the Asherah pole, which was nothing more than a phallic symbol. It is quite possible that these poles functioned somewhat like the poles in what are called, “gentlemen’s clubs.” The people also acted out lustful, licentious, bawdy scenes for the enjoyment of all who came (Isaiah 57:5-8; Deuteronomy 23:17). They had all the different kinds of sexual experiences on display including men with women, men with men and all of the combinations that are popular today in sit-coms, movies, and news reports. On top of that, they invited the crowd to participate (I Kings 14:24).

The children were the real losers, though, as some of them were actually sacrificed on the altar of the sex and the success (2 Kings 16:3-4). To participate, you had to reject your children. Does this remind anyone of the 48 million babies in the US who have been aborted on the altar of convenience and immorality?

Baal worship in reality corresponds exactly to activities that most people freely participate in today. They do so without really understanding the nature of idolatry, for idolatry is simply enjoyment of things raised up against Christ.

A similar opinion was stated in an interview with Matt Barber:

Ritualistic Baal worship, in sum, looked a little like this: Adults would gather around the altar of Baal. Infants would then be burned alive as a sacrificial offering to the deity. Amid horrific screams and the stench of charred human flesh, congregants – men and women alike – would engage in bisexual orgies. The ritual of convenience was intended to produce economic prosperity by prompting Baal to bring rain for the fertility of “mother earth.”

The natural consequences of such behavior – pregnancy and childbirth – and the associated financial burdens of “unplanned parenthood” were easily offset. One could either choose to engage in homosexual conduct or – with child sacrifice available on demand – could simply take part in another fertility ceremony to “terminate” the unwanted child.

Modern liberalism deviates little from its ancient predecessor. While its macabre rituals have been sanitized with flowery and euphemistic terms of art, its core tenets and practices remain eerily similar. The worship of “fertility” has been replaced with worship of “reproductive freedom” or “choice.” Child sacrifice via burnt offering has been updated, ever so slightly, to become child sacrifice by way of abortion. The ritualistic promotion, practice and celebration of both heterosexual and homosexual immorality and promiscuity have been carefully whitewashed – yet wholeheartedly embraced – by the cults of radical feminism, militant “gay rights” and “comprehensive sex education.” And, the pantheistic worship of “mother earth” has been substituted – in name only – for radical environmentalism.

Although the IDA and UNESCO tried to enhance the visibility of participation in the preservation of cultural values, such installations do not have anything to do with culture or archeology.

Layouts of ancient structures on a 3D printer are a parody on creative activities. This simulation is designed for the exaltation of the excluded masses of individuals who are immersed in the endless stream of postmodern flicker. This new act of idolatry that is embedded in the culture of consumerism is promoted by modern Masons-globalists (ruins of stone temples were chosen especially) using high technology tools and corporate advertising.

But what has the role of UNESCO assigned to the current promotion of the cult of Baal? Given the fact that a number of UN agencies and programs openly lobbied for the legalization of same-sex marriage (Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is in favor of giving standards status for the act of sodomy), female sterilisation, and so-called sex education, it can be assumed that any occult and satanic projects, if they can be issued for the world's cultural heritage, will be supported and promoted through cultural programs of the UN. And those countries and institutions that will resist implementing such kind of programs are condemned as bigots who are lagging behind global enlightenment.
