Since it is very common in Brazil for any debate to come very late in the day, there is now a debate on whether Brazil is “Western” or not. Some great Brazilians, ahead of their time, such as Gilberto Freyre, Darcy Ribeiro, Sérgio Buarque de Holanda, Plínio Salgado, among others, considered it obvious that Brazil was part of a “Latin American” civilisation (I have already explained in another text why I rejected this term in favour of “Ibero-American”) and no other.

They should gradually develop into a more or less coherent theory of a multipolar world. Germany and other NATO countries have been told to impose trade and investment sanctions upon themselves that will outlast today’s proxy war in Ukraine. The first and most important statement is that Russia is an independent, original civilization. This statement is the axis around which there should be constructed any (absolutely everything, and not just Eurasian) conservative thought. What does it give us? First, we understand that the world is not global, not united, not homogeneous. The world consists of many civilizations, each of which is not reducible to each other. That is, Chinese, Indian, European, American, Russian – all these civilizations are equal.

By engaging in direct confrontation with the West during the SMO, even though the West itself participates through its Ukrainian proxy structure, which cannot be called a 'country', Russia is forced to defend its sovereignty on all levels. In terms of military, economic and formal policy, this is quite obvious, but the West is much more than a political-military-economic structure: it is a civilization with a fundamental program code. Everything else is derived from this code: weapons, economy, politics, culture, education, science, media, etc. Russia is now forced to confront the whole spectrum and, in general, the Western code itself.
