At the moment, the base protects the more than seven thousand Turkish military.
This was done after the failed coup, but is still a problem for Pentagon, and Ankara has not to date responded to the requests of the US military.
Earlier the Pentagon said that all military operations in Incirlik airbase are suspended.
The Pentagon said that Turkish officials had closed the airspace around a Turkish air base from which the U.S.-led coalition launched airstrikes against the Islamic State (IS).
