Summit between the EU and countries of Latin America

The Summit of the European Union and the CELAC (The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) has opened in the Dominican Republic.
During this summit the questions of economic cooperation and integration, as well as human rights issues are reported to be discussed.

Chancellor of the Dominican Republic Miguel Vargas declared that this meeting was focused on strengthening ties between two regions, which «faced with global challenges».

During the ministerial meeting, headed by the current High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, there will be discussed the implementation of the economic agreement, as an analog of the TTIP and the TPP, but without the US participation. Nevertheless, Great Britain takes participation in the Summit of the European Union and the CELAC, which is now in the process of Brexit.
