Canada after the US and the EU agreed to lift sanctions against Belarus

The Government of Canada prepared to lift sanctions from Belarus, according to the website of the Government of Canada. Removal of sanctions was a step response to the recent "positive" events, including the role of Minsk in settling the Ukrainian conflict.
Canada introduced sanctions against Belarus in 2006. The Foreign Ministry stressed that while there is a complete withdrawal process in Belarus from under the sanctions, Ottawa has allowed "a number of export commodities and technology."
