The US is building a base for drones in Niger.

The base will be located in the suburbs of the city of Agadez and  $ 100 million are already allocated for the project.

Combat drones will be deployed from the base, such models as MQ-1 and MQ-9 Reaper.

Niger  is the only country in the south-western part of Africa, which has agreed to provide its territory for the construction of the US Air Force base.

Thus the Pentagon continues to militarize Africa, creating  a network of bases and installations. They have a political effect, aimed at containing China's influence in the region
