UN proposes a new plan to Yemen

Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, UN envoy to Yemen has submitted a new plan proposing a new government where significantly limiting the powers the President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi (nominated by The West). Moreover, the current Vice-President Ali Mohsen Saleh al-Ahmar is recommended to leave his post, as he was accused of corruption.

« After the completion of the [Houthi] withdrawal from Sanaa and the handing over of heavy and medium weapons (including ballistic missiles) Hadi will transfer all his powers to a Vice President, and the Vice President will appoint a new Prime Minister ... (who will form) a national unity government», according to this plan.

However, the reaction of the participants of the conflict is not yet known. There are big doubts about the real adoption of this document.

Some representatives of the President Hadi declared the coup as «legitimizing»; while Houthis stated that any plan for the settlement should include an item of conducting elections.
