A three-day mourning period was declared in the Donetsk People's Republic in connection with the murder of one of the militia commanders Arseny «Motorola» Pavlov.
Alexander Zakharchenko, the head of the administration of the Donetsk People's Republic, declared this murder amounted to a declaration of war.

In addition to it, Zakharchenko made an emergency statement, in which he blamed Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko for this crime. He said: «Tonight, my close friend Arsen Pavlov, his soldier name is Motorola, was killed. He was killed in an elevator, meanly, due to a blast, while he was coming to his family. At the moment, we are carrying out the investigative measures that will allow us to find out not only a work-giver, but also a killer. No mercy will be to them. We will raise the children of the fallen soldier. We can assume that Petro Poroshenko broke the truce and declared the war on us».

The increased security measures were introduced in the country.

Pavlov was killed by a bomb placed at the entrance of his house. Attempts to murder him have been happening before.
