RUSSIAN TROOPS DEPLOYING IN NORTHWESTERN ALEPPO

Russian troops (mainly marines) have been reportedly taking up positions on the Castello Highway in northwestern Aleppo, pro-government sources reported. The same sources added that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies had withdrawn from the area towards the Mallah Farms and the western parts of Aleppo city.

If true, it means that the Russian-Syrian-Iranian alliance has started to implement the humanitarian part of the recently launched nationwide ceasefire. The Castello Highway is set to become a humanitarian corridor to Aleppo city.
