Prime Minister of Slovenia warns about the conflict in the Balkans

The Prime Minister of Slovenia Miro Tserar said that the next wave of refugees may cause a conflict in the Balkans. He said this in an interview with the German press.

"On the external borders of Europe should do everything to prevent the Balkan conflict and the collapse of the Schengen" - added the Prime Minister. He stated that if countries within Europe will close its borders, it is going to make a negative impact on the economy and tourism, but also kill the very idea of ​​the Schengen Agreement, which could lead to the collapse of the entire European Union. "If we can not solve the overall problem, we don't have a common future" - summed Miro Tserar.

In addition, the Prime Minister explained, if Austria would close the border, a "domino effect"  will start when migrants will flood Slovenia and other countries, the borders of which are now closed to refugees. This will inevitably lead to conflict between the governments of these countries.

Slovenian Prime Minister criticized the work of the Greek authorities in this regard: "I know they have a very difficult situation, but they have received financial support and assistance to the police, and the Greeks do not use the full potential of this assistance."
