Millions are expected at anti-coup rally in Turkey

Turkey is ready to held the biggest mass rally in the recent history. More than 3 million people are expected to participate in “Democracy and Martyrs Rally” at Istanbul's Yenikapı Square today. The goal of the event is to protest the July 15 pro-American coup attempt. The event will unite opposition and government:  the main opposition Republican People Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) as well as the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) will attend the rally.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, AK Party leader and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, MHP leader Devlet Bahçel, Parliament Speaker İsmail Kahraman are expected to attend the rally.
