Kuril Islands: Japan changes decision about Russian missiles

Today the Japanese government has declared that the deployment of Russian missiles on the islands of Kunashir and Iturup, which disputing by Tokyo, would not influence talks on the conclusion of a peace treaty.

Earlier Japan has reacted suspicious to the fact of placing defense systems on the Russian border areas, having promised to respond in the same way. These events happen against the background of the Russian-Chinese defense forum and on the eve of Vladimir Putin's visit to Japan.
