Greece will continue to support Russia in Syria

The Ministry of National Defence (Greece) said that the pressure carried out by the Obama administration, was not acceptable. The Greek side also stressed that Russia was considered as one of the closest partners.

The source in the Ministry of National Defence (Greece) reported: «Everything will go well with the Russian Navy, they (the Russian ships) can moor, and they will be supplied in Greece in the usual way. Logistics are going to be in accordance with the rules. And, of course, no pressure is unacceptable; we will give fuel to Russian ships. All talks about this topic were stopped».

Earlier, during his visit to Greece Barack Obama urged the country to close its ports for Russian ships, especially participating in the operation in Syria.
