The French special forces have defused an explosive-laden truck parked on a highway near Nice, media reported. A truck was parked 100 meters away from the apartment where a search raid of the suspected Nice attacker house was conducted. One unknown person was detained during the raid.

On July 14 evening, a heavy truck hit a crowd watching Bastille Day fireworks in Nice, killing 84 people and wounding over 100 others. President Francois Hollande said the attack was of a “terrorist nature.” Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel [Tunisian orign] has been named as a potential perpetrator of the attack. He was shot dead by police.
