Aleppo: Syrian army conducts large-scale attack

Syrian army is carrying out a large-scale attack on the militants' positions in the east of Aleppo.

The fierce fighting continues for the district of Ard al-Hamra in the north-east of the city, as well as the height of Jabal Badr.

The victory in these battles will allow the Syrian army to stop the constant mortar attacks from the territory controlled by terrorists.

The area, for which the Syrian army fights, is located near to another strategically important district Masakin Hanano, which actually opening a passage from the north to the eastern regions of Aleppo.

Rami Abdel-Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported: «This is a key and important advance for the Syrian army since the assault on eastern Aleppo started».
