The collective dimension of Dasein

What the individual is for liberalism, what social class is for Marxism and what the “postindividual” is for Neoliberalism, meaning, the subject over which a political theory pivots, for the Fourth Political Theory (4PT forward) is Dasein. Dasein is, according to Heidegger, the human being understood as “being-there”, as the only entity capable of asking “the question of the meaning of Being” and which is at the same time being-in-the-world, being-in-time and being-with-others. In this article we will focus on Dasein and in explicating its collective dimension and its existential characteristics which differentiate them from the cartesian subject, which is the metaphysical correlation of the individual as subject of liberalism, first political theory of Modernity.
