Darya Dugina posthumously honoured with the Order of Courage

Darya Dugina has been posthumously awarded the Order of Courage by the Kremlin press service. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree on 22 August 2022.

"For courage and selflessness shown in the performance of professional duty, to award the Order of Courage to Darya Alexandrovna Dugina, correspondent of the non-public joint-stock company Tsargrad Media, Moscow (posthumously)," the decree reads.

Tragedy struck in the evening of 20 August when political scientist and journalist Darya Dugina died in a car bombing on Mozhaiskoye Highway in Odintsovsky district, Moscow Region. As early as Monday, the Russian Federal Security Service hotly investigated the crime and said that the Ukrainian special services were behind Darya Dugina's murder. "The executor Natalya Vovk", a Ukrainian citizen who arrived in Russia with her 12-year-old daughter on 23 July. After a controlled car bombing, the perpetrator reportedly left with her daughter for Estonia via the Pskov region.

The Russian President expressed his sincere condolences to Dasha's family.
