Veneto recognized Crimea as Russian

The Italian region of Veneto discussed the possibility of recognizing Crimea as part of the Russian Federation. The vote was held on May 18th.

Most votes were in favor of the recognition. With 27 votes "for" and only 9 "against"

Today Venice became the first European region to officially express its recognition of Russian Crimea.
