Terrorist attack in Helmand province of Afghanistan

A powerful explosion occurred in Lashkar Gah city, capital of southern Helmand province. The reason of which was the action of a suicide bomber. This terrorist attack was probably aimed to kill the head of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), located in an armored car, near which the device was detonated.

As a result, one Afghan policeman was killed and three others were wounded. There is no information about the official’s state.

None of existing regional terrorist groups has claimed responsibility for this attack yet.
