Several vehicles of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group were targeted by the Syrian Air Forces on a road in eastern Homs. At the same time, fresh attacks on IS centers across the central province of Homs were launched by Syrian aircraft.

Syrian fighter jets targeted several vehicles of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group on a road in eastern Homs, the Fars news agency reported, citing provincial sources. The most part of the vehicles were destroyed in the airstrikes.

“Syrian warplanes bombed IS column of vehicles on a road connecting the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) to the town of al-Sukhnah, leaving a number of the vehicles destroyed and tens of guards accompanying the convoy dead or wounded,” the sources said.

“In the meantime, Syrian army’s artillery and missile units shelled positions of the Fatah al-Sham [previously known as the al-Nusra Front] in Tir Maala and al-Ghanto in northern Homs, ending in destruction of two commander bases and killing or wounding of their members, including several commanders,” they added.

Also on Tuesday, fresh attacks on IS centers across the central province of Homs were launched by Syrian aircraft. A Takfiri group’s arms depot, a command center and a convoy of vehicles were targeted by the Syrian Air Forces.

The ammunition depot of the IS in al-Halmouz and the command center in Deir Fou were pounded by Syrian fighter jets. As result, the facilities were destroyed, and several terrorists were killed or wounded.

IS vehicles in the al-Sukhnah, the Arak and the al-Heil oil-rich regions were also hit by Syrian warplanes.

Meanwhile, a bomb-laden suicide vehicle of the IS was targeted by a unit of the Syrian army, that prevented an attack on army post in the Ezzalddeen region.
