Russia and Armenia will create a joint Air defense system

Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted an agreement to the State Duma to establish together with Armenia  a joint regional air defense system in the Caucasus.

Armenian parliament ratified the document at the end of June

As was noted previously by the Vice-Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov, "the conclusion of the agreement follows from the state and national interests" of the country.

Commander in chief of aerospace forces Viktor Bondarev will coordinate joint action of the forces that are part of the air defense systems.
