India sends a note of protest to Russia

The Indian Ambassador in Moscow Pankaj Saran informed that the point of view of India towards the military cooperation with Pakistan is brought to the Russian authorities.

The ambassador underlined: «We have conveyed our views to the Russian side that military cooperation with Pakistan which is a State that sponsors and practices terrorism as a matter of State policy is a wrong approach and it will only create further problems».

It needs to be mentioned that the resolution, in which Pakistan is the terroristic state, is now being developed in the US Senate, which is connecting with India.  India is strategically important for Washington, not only as a huge country, but also as a bridgehead against China, with which there are some territorial disputes, and, of course, as chairman of the BRICS. The White House has recently made several attempts to weaken this organization, which is rapidly getting more influence.

The statements of India were made at the threshold of the summit. Pankaj Saran said that these issues concerning to the international terrorism will be raised as during the BRICS meeting, as in the course of the two-way communication.

However, he confirmed that everything that happens only strengthens the collaboration and friendship between India and Russia.  He affirmed: « the two countries share a special and privileged strategic partnership.... This partnership is an anchor of peace and stability in the region and the world».
