After the harsh statements of the current French President Francois Hollande and his provocations against Moscow, the Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to postpone indefinitely his visit to France. However, Putin stressed that he would not exclude the opportunity of conversation with his French colleague. The Parisian public met the Hollande’s statements with critique, including the words of the former president and one of the candidates for the post in 2017, Nicolas Sarkozy.

Later Francois Hollande claimed that he wanted to meet with the Russian leader. Moreover, during his speech at the Council of Europe Assembly, on the contrary, he did the pro-Russian remarks, following  the way of the head of the PACE Pedro Agramunt, who had recently said about the need of returning Russia in this organization. However, Pedro Agramunt informed, that some members are impeding it.

Among other things Francois Hollande addressed to the Ukrainian delegation, reminding about the need to respect the Minsk agreements. This in turn has offended Kiev, which officials let themselves make quite undiplomatic comments about the personality of the French president.
