Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is going to discuss the creation in the area of Syria, free from terrorist organizations with US President-elect Donald Trump. He told about his plans in a statement to Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) in Istanbul.

The Turkish President said: “We will declare a safe zone cleared from terrorism in northern Syria. We have been saying this from the beginning. If this [issue] isn't dealt with, Gaziantep is always hanging by a thread, Kilis is always hanging by a thread, Şanlıurfa is hanging by a thread”.

Moreover, Recep Tayyip Erdogan also added that he would discuss a no-fly zone in the areas of northern Syria with Donald Trump after his inauguration in January.

“We will not allow the formation of a new state in northern Syria,” President Erdogan vowed to retake the Syrian town of Manbij, which had been seized by Kurdish forces from ISIS. “After Manbij, Raqqa is next if we can join hands with the U.S.”
