African countries leave the ICC

After the Republic of South Africa announced its withdrawal from the program of the International Criminal Court (ICC), several other countries followed its example.
Gambia and Burundi have announced its withdrawal from the ICC. Information Minister Sheriff Bojang declared that the court had been used «for the persecution of Africans and especially their leaders». In turn, Gambia accused the Hague-based tribunal of the «persecution and humiliation of people of colour, especially Africans».
