Russophile Movement set the “Stage for Multipolarity”

The Second Congeress of the International Russophile Movement (IRM) held in Moscow on 26-27 Feburary 2024, has set the stage for multipolarity, inclusiveness and pluralism in the global level, with the denial of the liberal international order, particients of the congress has rejected the universalizaiton of the Western modernity.

The event at the Lomonosov Cluster (Innovation Centre) of Moscow State University brought together foreign delegates from more than 130 countries, united by a friendly disposition towards Russia, interest in its cultural and historical heritage, as well as a commitment to traditional values and confidence in the right of peoples to preserve their national identity. The event was attended by Russian government officials, political and public figures, and representatives of science and culture.

The congress brings together representatives of public organisations, politics, culture, and business who advocate for closer relations with Russia and against Russophobia. The movement organises thematic conferences, seminars, art and literary competitions in Russian, maintains monuments associated with Russia in proper condition, publishes books by Russian authors abroad, promotes the study of the Russian language, and promotes horizontal ties and contacts through public diplomacy.

Among speakers the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, political philosopher Alexander Dugin, the Chairman of the media group Tsargrad Konstantin Malofeev among other participated the event.

President of Russain Federation Vladimir Putin sent greetings to organisers and participants in the 2nd Congress of International Russophile Movement, that was read out by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov as President Putin says that “your forum has brought together hundreds of delegates from more than 130 countries from all continents. This broad representation clearly shows that the international Russophile public movement is growing confidently and gaining new supporters.”

Putin said that “the Russophile Movement substantially contributes to countering the attempts of the collective West to isolate Russia internationally and helps disseminate objective and trustworthy information about our country abroad, as well as dispel anti-Russia speculations and myths created by propaganda.”

Putin was of the view that the movement’s noble activities help preserve and strengthen the traditions of friendship and mutual respect that connect Russians with other nations; it helps unite the Russian world, promote our national culture and its achievements, and expand our humanitarian presence in the world.

For his part, Lavrov said attempts by Western countries to ban cooperation with Russia do not stop anyone, and the policy of isolating Moscow has suffered a “complete collapse.”  , Lavrov said that the wider world community is sincerely interested in unbiased, comprehensive, honest assessments of the causes of the current geopolitical tension, and does not accept the streams of disinformation and lies that are churned out by the mass media controlled by the collective West, at least the vast majority of them,” he said.

He said Russia has many friends everywhere, including in the US and Europe, adding: “And all of them not only show interest in us, but also share the values we promote, common to all world religions and civilizations.” According to him, Russia offers its partners relations on an equal and mutually beneficial basis as a “constructive alternative” to the policies of the West, which it said is trying to promote this through “international development institutions under its control.”

Refering to the push for the mutipolarity Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that this gathering of the verity of civilizations and cultures don’t have binding or mandatory preconditions. It does not offer the any sort of tolitariansim and dictatorship in its nature, its all about the free will of who want to join the club, can join, she said. Maria said that “we talk a lot about the freedom but not free will.” “We are consolidating the technological advancements but simultaneously preserving the traditional values and civilization,” she said. Mankind witnessing the multipolarity and “we are participant in building a multipolar and just world”. “Its’ not happening by default, rather we have put our input in it,” she said.

Maria said that global economy which now facing very different tracks including, artificial technology, ICT, bio and other new technologies. Growth of national identities civilizational diversity and other objective factors influencing the redistribution of the development potential at the global stage. She said that President Putin has adopted a new Concept of the Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation, in 2023, previous one’s were descriptive and this was being the philosophical view of the world.

Political Philosopher, Professor Alexander Dugin said that “we welcome to the participent of the multipolarity forum, this is an historic event.” “I hope we will enter in phase of world history where, the transition is beginning”. Alexander Dugin said that multipolarity is philosophy, it is based on the criticism on universialism, western imperialism and racially identified the imperial itself. He said that the unipolarity declares that there is only one value, only one political system of political liberalism, only one economic model is liberal capitialism, one culture of post-modernism, only one idea of gender and family mean LGBT, only one vision of development technical professionals to post-humanism. Multipolarity is an alternative philosophy, it is based on our fundamental objection, that West is not the whole of the humanity, rather it’s a region or a province along with others. It’s not a civilization in its singularity, it’s one of the civilizations.
