Milos Zeman, the current President of the Czech Republic, has told his supporters that he will seek a second term in the election scheduled for 2018.
"I announce that I have decided to again run for the president of the Czech Republic," Zeman said.

Political scientists in Prague say Zeman has all chances to retain his seat. Opinion polls confirm that Zeman is one of the most popular Czech politicians. More than 50% of voters support him.
