Canada resumes aid to Palestine refugees

The Government of Canada has decided to resume funding of UN agencies for providing aid to Palestine refugees, which was terminated in 2010 under pressure from the Israeli lobby, influencing on the previous government.

The amount of financial assistance is expected to be up to $ 25 million in total. This information was announced by Canadian International Development Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau.

Only the opposition supporting the Atlanticist course was against the decision on the resumption of assistance programs.
