Atlanticist Method: lifting the sanctions against Iran and hitting the entire world

Pushing the oil down

Amid the reports of the lifting of sanctions against Tehran, quotes declined by 5.33%. The reason for this is the increase in supply. Iran is going to double oil exports immediately after the lifting of sanctions. Saudi Arabia was the hardest hit by this message. The index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) fell by 6.83%. However, the fall in oil prices will also affect the main US geopolitical rivals - Russia and Venezuela. At the same time the United States started using the parliamentary opposition in the process of overthrowing Nicolas Maduro.

Washington maelstrom

Drawing Iran into their zone of influence and breaking the Moscow-Tehran block is another, perhaps even more important goal of the Atlanticists. Iran is a key country in the region, both for tellurocratic Russia and the tallassocratic United States. To strengthen its position, Washington will put stakes on the liberal political forces associated with Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in future elections in Iran and the elections to the Assembly of experts.

Carrot and stick

Sanctions concerning Tehran's nuclear program have been removed. But at the same time restrictions on individuals and entities associated with the Tehran's program of ballistic missiles have been strengthened. 11 companies and individuals are now on the US’ sanctions list. Restrictions include a ban on any financial transactions with these individuals and companies, and their property and assets in the US and in US banks must be frozen. It is important to note that the list contains not only Iranian companies. In particular, a Hong Kong company, Anhui Land Group Co, is now under sanctions as well as UAE-based Candid General Trading LLC and Mabrooka Trading Co LLC.

Israel's interests

There is usually a powerful Israel lobby behind such decisions in the American leadership, who are trying to strangle their regional rival with the arms of the United States. Israel is interested in preventing the convergence of the US and Iran. Paradoxically, in this aspect the Israeli interests coincide with the interests of the Iranian conservatives and Russia.

Scepsis

Katehon's sources in conservative circles of the Iranian leadership are extremely skeptical about the West's decision to soften its stance toward Tehran. According to them, this is another propaganda move, rather than real action. Its purpose is the submission of Iran and destabilizing the situation in the region.
