The upcoming presidential elections in the United States, scheduled for 5 November 2024, hold absolute significance. The outcome of these elections will largely determine the fate not only of the United States and even the entire West, but of humanity as a whole. The world is teetering on the brink of nuclear war, a full-scale and total third world war between Russia and NATO countries, and the decision of who will lead the White House for the next term will ultimately decide whether humanity will continue to exist or not. Therefore, it is crucial to once again survey the two candidates in this election, understand their platforms and positions.

 The term globalism is complex, and it must be recognized that although criticisable, it remains an ambiguous term, which must not be confused with ''globality'' (in its geopolitical meaning). Globalism derives from the term globe and brings us to the concept of universe, world and space, tracing a relationship between the latter and peoples. It is a geopolitical-social concept. Its economic side is globalization.

The year 2023 saw many important events that have influenced the course of world history or will do so in the near future. The year passed under the sign of persistent but ultimately unsuccessful attempts by the collective West to turn against Russia the neutral countries and other states that did not want to follow Washington's hegemony and preferred either to distance themselves from the ongoing confrontation, or to move closer to Russia, or to pragmatically exploit the situation of further decline toward multipolarity by building their own power.

The Russian authorities are eager to demonstrate compliance with certain rules in the war in Ukraine. The West has believed since the beginning of the SMO, and in fact since 2014, with the annexation of Crimea, that Russia had broken the (beneficial to the West) rules. And even if it did not, it would mean nothing. Therefore, the West is playing without rules against Russia.
